    What We Love About Mandalay

Mandalay, the second largest city in Burma, has developed quite quickly for a city that was rebuilt from the ground in the 1990s. Back in WWII, Mandalay was bombed flat, leaving only a handful of pagodas and structures in the city. Since then, the city has continued to develop into one of the country's most modern locations. Apart from its contemporary advancements, religion is still at the heart of the city. With majority of the residents being Buddhists, many important religious structures and artifacts are scattered all over the city. Tourists can visit Mandalay's various temples and monasteries, as well as the old British Government House and the Mahamuni.
