Both Linderhof and Neuschwanstein were amazing. Linderhof is a mini version of the Palace of Versailles, with its own Hall of Mirrors. Neuschwanstein is a bit overrated. There is no over all theme to the castle. Linderhof is way better design-wise. Since there was snowfall when we arrived, we had to pay 7 euros for the carriage ride to the top.

    What To Expect

See the castles that inspired Disney movies in the flesh with this full day tour to the beautiful German countryside! Created by Germany's Ludwig II (also known as the Swan King), the two castles are famous for their extravagant architecture. Depart from Munich at 8:30am, and then marvel at the beautiful German countryside inside comfortable air conditioned coaches on your way to Linderhof. The first stop is the Linderhof Royal castle, a 19th century Romanesque-revival castle inspired by the Palace of Versailles. Feel like royalty as you walk through the castle grounds. After touring the castle, you'll be taken to the charming village of Oberammergau, where you can have lunch (at own cost). Last but definitely not least, you'll visit the fairytale-like Neuschwanstein castle, that on good days almost looks like it's sitting on the clouds. There you'll have approximately four hours to explore the beautiful castle on your own - the perfect ending to your own fairytale.

Great experience seeing all these magnificent schloss. our guide Anneta was really informative and kind. she speaks clearly so everyone will understand. The Neuschwanstein castle inside tour is quite short and some parts are under construction. However, the view from Marienbrücke was truly magical. Make sure to walk when going back to your bus because it was quite a nice walk. wear co fortable shoes. The brief rest in Oberammergau was nice but we just bought some souvenirs. Linderhof castle was also nice but would have been better if we were a smaller group to fully appreciate the tour. And we got snow! All in all a worthwhile tour but maybe include the ticket prices when booking with Klook instead of asking for cash on the bus.

Tour was pleasant, conducted in English. Other languages available in audio guide. Fuss-free getting from one place to another. The break at Oberammergau was brief for half an hour. Strictly no photography inside the castles. Be mindful of the crowd hoarding the entrance of Neuschwanstein Castle. All the castle tours are timed and I missed the one with the group while queuing. Massive trouble of catching up with the group and bus.

Great tour and easy to locate the bus. We are glad we opted not to enter the castle as camera was not allowed and it gave us more time to photoshoot nice scenery outside and walk around. There's a cheaper/more choices restaurant half way up/down hill if you can wait to lunch later. Take a bus ride up and walk down, bua stop nearer to the bridge voew point. Overall very nice tour.

Very fun experience! Make sure you check the weather before leaving, if there is snow or rain the shuttle bus won’t work. The walk up to Neuschwanstein Castle in approximately 20-30 minutes, and horse carriage costs 7 eur up and 3.5 eur down. You also have to pay 27eur extra to enter both the castles And get a guided tour. Its basically compulsory to pay it, because if you are going that far you might as well look at the interior. Our guide Hany was full of energy and funny. Was a very fun experience. Be there before you have to for the best seats!

We join this tour with group 8 people , first we visit linderhoff castle , then we stop by to the oberramergau village then last stop to neuscwanstein castle . The one that I like the most from this tour was the guide is very nice, helpfull and accomodative . Her name Maria , she speaks english slowly and clearly so that we can understand the language since we are tourist from different country that didn’t speaks english as our language . She always ask to us if we need something . I promise to her that I will leave a good comment for her in my review because I really satisfied with her service . I really recommended this tour ??

The tour was well-managed even though we have been informed that there was Sabine Storm hitting the place on our visit day. Eventually we still managed to visit Linderhof Palace and the Swarm castle safely. The bonus point for this day tour was the snow came right after we hiked up to the top of the swarm castle <3

The meeting point was easy to find. Our tour guide Hannah was really informative and helpful. The whole tour took about 11 hours with three stops: Linderhof Palace, Oberammergau and Neuschwanstein Palace. Linderhof Palace may seem small but the interior is absolutely gorgeous. As for Oberammergau, it was just a short stop so we only bought some souvenirs. The trip at Neuschwanstein Palace felt a bit rushed since our time there is limited. Grayline sold drinks for about €2-€2.50. The bus is clean and spacious. Overall, recommended trip if you have limited time in Munich and would like to cover Neuschwanstein in a day.

Wonderful tour. The meeting place is easy to find near the main train station. Our first stop was Linderhof castle. The interiors of palace is so grand. It's a relatively small castle but the opulence inside is jaw dropping. Porcelain vases, ivory, crystals, intricate woodwork, etc. All the shebang. Compared with other castles I've been to, the furnitures and fixtures on this one remained almost intact. Unfortunately it's not allowed to take photos inside which is a shame. Neuschwanstein on the other hand is okay. Be prepared to hike for about 20mins going up the castle. There are carriages available though who can take you if you like. But it was snowing when we went so the hike was fine. The castle is unfinished inside because of the sudden death of king Ludwig II but like with Linderhof, the furnitures are intact since his death. The castle is being renovated when we went and some areas were closed because probably of the weather. Oh there's also a stopover at Obberamergau. Famous for its passion plays and wood carving. Overall nice tour. Thanks again

I highly recommend this tour when visiting Munich. First stop was Linderhof, then lunch and free time at the small town of Oberammergau, and last but not least the Neuschwanstein Castle. Tour was on time and our guide is very informative and very entertaining. Ride was comfortable. Overall, true value for your money...??

      1. i didn't pay the extra 27euro for getting into the two castles as personally think any french palace is so much better ( they charge lil higher than buy in there but u won't hv time to get ticket n just treat it as a package is reasonable ) 2. the new swan i heard from the group that only an audio guide is provided 3. the small palace is literally so small n statues of marble or metal are all wrapped - see the last photo 4. conviennent meet up place 5. the tour guide is a woman in her 60s, she is so funyyy!!!!! credited !!!! 6. given the ease of transport i think it worth join 7. they bring us to a small village with pretty deco + hand craft , need kind of a grab n go as time tight but sufficient enough 8. and since i didn't visit inner part of the palaces i can enjoy hot meal ( price is reasonable !) 9. please note that in winter ( storm big rain ) the bridge of new swan can be closed then = nth to see ??????

The tour was awesome! Eduardo, the tour guide was very very nice and polite! He was funny, clear and precise with his instructions. He even came around the bus to ask if we have any questions in mind. We went to Linderhof Castle first, though didn’t had enough time to explore, it was still a very good place to see. I personally loved the winter wonderland vibe in it. Neuschwanstein was the most beautiful place I’ve seen throughout my entire stay in Bavaria. It was jaw dropping. Overall, highly recommend. Btw, the tour group wasn’t too crowded as I was expecting. Aloha, Mark fr Hawaii, USA
