Welcome the day by visiting six beautiful lakes in the Lake District! There’s nothing like spending the morning relishing in the calm atmosphere and basking in the natural sceneries of North West England. On this half-day tour, you’ll get to see the best sightseeing destinations in the area starting at Kirkstone Pass. This lovely path is a long winding road taking you from Ambleside to Ullswater and giving dramatic views of the mountains. After the scenic drive, you’ll arrive at Ullswater, the second largest lake in England. Its three distinct bends give the lake its unique character, displaying a dog’s leg appearance. The next stop is at the Castlerigg Stone Circle. While the Stonehenge has its own claim to fame as a famous Neolithic era monument, Castlerigg is arguably the most panoramic among all British stone circles with overlooking views of Helvellyn mountains and High Seat plus its 1,000 years older than the Stonehenge! The rest of the day will be spent at Thirlmere, a stunning reservoir, and Grasmere, a quaint English village at the center of the district before capping off the tour with a comfortable drive back to Windmere.
