Are you in Scotland but only for a short time? You're in luck because this tour will give you a good taste of the wonderful country in just one day! Begin this wonderful tour by meeting up with a friendly English-speaking tour guide at Rabbie's Café Bar, Waterloo Place. You will board a coach that will take you to the picturesque Scottish Highlands. As you depart from Edinburgh, you will pass by the Linlithgow Palace and Stirling Castle. You will even pass by the National Wallace Monument, which commemorates the great hero, William Wallace, and the battle site where here defeated the English Army back in 1297. From there, the coach will take you to the town of Callander, where you will go on a short coffee break. After tasting Scottish coffee, you will continue on your journey; the scenery changes dramatically as you venture into the Scottish Highlands. The flat plains of the lowlands transform into shimmering lochs, rugged mountains, and forest-filled glens; the alluring beauty makes it easy to forget this was once a battleground of the fiercely territorial Highland clans. Your first stop is the scenic Glen Coe, where you’ll be mesmerised by the beautiful cliff faces and steep slopes; the quaint Glencoe Village is at the foot of the landscape. Then, you will enter a deep glacial valley known as the Great Glen, reach the town of Fort William, and then travel in the shadow of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, before arriving at Fort Augustus by the shore of Loch Ness. The Loch Ness is the largest loch by volume in Scotland; you can take this opportunity to go on a boat ride along the loch and try your luck at spotting Nessie, the legendary Loch Ness Monster. If monster-spotting isn't for you, you can simply enjoy the wonderful scenery on the banks of the Loch. Fort Augustus is also famous for being home of the Caledonian Canal, a good spot to relax and watch the boats sail by; feast on scrumptious Scottish cuisine while taking in the scenery. After lunch, you will go on the latter part of this stunning adventure; you will head south through the mountains of Cairngorms National Park and pass by Loch Laggan, then head over to the Drumochter Pass and drive by the majestic Blair CastleThe tranquil forests of Perthshire are next, and on the way, you will go on another refreshment break. After re-energizing, you will drive past Loch Leven and Queensferry Crossing, and then back to Rabbie's Café Bar where you can sip on some coffee while you relish the journey.
