An excellent Saturday morning outing to a real hidden gem, a stunning historical graveyard with an amazingly rich heritage. Besides learning abt the complexities of burial rituals among the Hokkien and Teochew, there are wonderful stories of individual pioneers who lived in Singapore during early years. A rich telling storytelling walking tour.

Guides Stefanie and KJ shared interesting history about Singapore’s history, recommended many delicious food and took many pretty photos for my friends and I throughout the trip. Drum teacher Sonny and Pottery teacher Steven were also very engaging and patient when teaching us the techniques to master these art. Click museum sir taught us the history of cameras and trick eye was cool to take ‘crazy’ pics. Trip was awesome and it made us felt like as if we were overseas :)

It was surprisingly fun and exciting, especially when Jeff (tour leader) reviewed the pass history at the site of interest. Many places we, even being Singaporean ourselves, had hardly noticed or paying attention. Overall, it’s a wonderful and an eye opening tour. Highly recommended! Cheers, Abraham

My partner and I signed up for this 3-hour class and had a great time. We liked the walking tour around the Bugis/City Hall area as we learnt interesting facts about the Hainanese history in Singapore that we didn’t know before. We also enjoyed the cooking experience as Chef Colin gave us a lot of guidance while we also got to be very hands on in trying to cook the dishes ourselves. The dishes turned out to be pretty yummy! It’s a good way to use our SRV and we’d definitely recommend this!

first impression of the staff at the entrance was great. they immediately attend to us when we first reached the hotel. pressed the lift button to holding the lift open for us. the receptionist at hotel lobby was friendly too. they smiled and greeted us. the room view was amazing. singapore flyer and marina bay can be seen. check out experience was also great too. the security at the entrance was helpful too by opening the door open for us.

Would totally recommend it if you’ve never visited an old quaint area of Singapore - Tanglin Halt. Our guide, CK from Trekkers, was patient and lead us through the less trodden paths to the black n white houses. The Rail corridor of a 24km stretch was especially interesting too, although we didn’t walk the whole distance , together with all its history.
